Gun Regulation
CCHCC has been involved in a national effort to regulate guns as consumer products. With the exception of tobacco, firearms are the only consumer products that are not regulated for basic health and safety standards, despite the fact that they are the second leading cause of traumatic death in the United States. CCHCC takes a public health approach to gun regulation, and advocates that all consumer products, including firearms, should be regulated for basic health and safety standards. CCHCC also advocates for sensible gun legislation that would prevent unnecessary firearm-related deaths of injuries.
