Public Hearing on Sale of County Nursing Home – Thursday, September 13

Dear friend,

There will be a Public Hearing on the sale of the Champaign County Nursing Home (CCNH) this Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Hyatt Place hotel in downtown Champaign.

The Public Hearing will have two sessions in order to accommodate people’s schedules: from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

CCHCC will send out additional information later today or tomorrow morning to let you know the exact format for the hearing and how to prepare and submit your testimony. Both oral and written testimony can be provided at this Public Hearing.

Purpose of the Public Hearing
The purpose of the Public Hearing is to give community members an opportunity to provide testimony either in support of, or opposition to the sale of the CCNH.

The input provided at this Public Hearing will be submitted to the IL Health Facilities & Services Review Board (HFSRB).

The HFSRB will consider the sale of the CCNH at its upcoming Board Meeting on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in Bolingbrook.

About the Health Facilities & Services Review Board, and the Certificate of Need Program
The HFSRB conducts the Certificate of Need program for the State of Illinois. The Certificate of Need is required for certain types of health care facility changes and transactions. In order for the facility changes to go forward, a Certificate of Need must be approved.
