Ameren Open House

Please join the 5th & Hill Neighborhood Rights Campaign at:
Ameren’s Open House
Wednesday, March 11, 2009
4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Champaign City Building – 102 N. Neil, Champaign

Why should you attend this meeting? Because Ameren will be talking about their clean-up plan, and we need to demand answers to these questions:

• Why does Ameren’s new report show that groundwater contamination is far worse than what we have been told, but…

• Ameren does NOT plan to clean-up the contaminated groundwater in the 5th & Hill neighborhood (the same groundwater that floods basements and goes into the Boneyard Creek)?

• Why does a new Ameren report show toxic vapors coming from Ameren’s property – but Ameren, the IL EPA, and the City of Champaign have refused residents’ requests that they put up signs warning residents of toxic contamination?

Your neighbors and friends in the 5th & Hill Neighborhood Rights Campaign will be attending the Open House at 4:00 p.m.  Please join us (at whatever time you can get there, if not 4 p.m.)!

Let’s demand answers and a real clean-up!
5th & Hill
