December 9, 2019
This is a reminder from Champaign County Health Care Consumers to let you know that there are only 7 days left for ACA Marketplace health insurance Open Enrollment!
Despite multiple efforts to sabotage the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the ACA is still the law of the land and Open Enrollment for Marketplace health insurance plans ends on December 15, 2019.
Who is eligible for enrollment in health insurance plans through the Marketplace?
People eligible for health insurance through the Marketplace (Healthcare.gov) generally include those individuals who do not have Medicare, Medicaid, or employer-sponsored health insurance. You must be under age 65 to apply for health insurance through the Marketplace.
If you are self-employed, you can apply for health insurance through the Marketplace. Or if you are employed but not offered affordable health insurance, you can apply through the Marketplace.
Remember that financial assistance is also available through the Marketplace (Healthcare.gov). Over 80% of people who get their insurance through the Marketplace also qualify for financial assistance to help make their monthly premiums more affordable!
