Champaign County Health Care Consumers is excited to announce two upcoming meetings in October to help get our community ready for Open Enrollment for the ACA Marketplace and for Medicare – read below to learn more, and save these dates!
We are also excited to announce that new CCHCC t-shirts are available for purchase (proceeds help support our Rx Fund), and we have new colors and styles! Read at the bottom of this message to check out our new t-shirts.

ACA Marketplace Open Enrollment Community Meeting – Monday, October 15 at 6 p.m. at Champaign Public Library – Save the Date!
Despite multiple efforts to sabotage the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the ACA is still the law of the land and Open Enrollment for Marketplace plans will be from November 1 through December 15, 2018.
Join us at the Health Insurance Marketplace Community Meeting to find out what you need to know as a consumer. At this meeting we will discuss:
• Types of health insurance offered through the Marketplace;
• Financial assistance available to help make health insurance affordable;
• Essential health benefits covered by plans offered in the Marketplace; and,
• How you can get ready for the Marketplace Open Enrollment.

Medicare Open Enrollment Community Meeting – Thursday, October 25 at 10 a.m. at Champaign Public Library – Save the Date!
Do you find Medicare confusing? Are you about to age into Medicare coverage? Do you want to make sure that your Medicare Advantage or Part D plan is right for you? Then this meeting is for you!
Medicare Open Enrollment for Advantage and Part D plans takes place every year from October 15 through December 7.
Join us at the Community Meeting to find out what you need to know for Medicare Open Enrollment. At this meeting we will discuss:
• The main components of Medicare (Parts A-D);
• How to enroll in, or change plans with Medicare Part D, Advantage, and Medigap/Supplemental insurance;
• Medicaid coverage for those with Medicare; and
• Other programs to help Medicare beneficiaries with the costs of their care.

CCHCC T-shirts – New Styles and New Colors – Order yours today!
Show your support for CCHCC by getting one of our t-shirts! We now have new colors and new styles (short and long sleeve) available! You can order directly from the web store and the shirt will be mailed to you (or you can pick up if you live in Champaign-Urbana). A portion of the sale price of the t-shirt comes back to CCHCC and is used to support our Rx Fund. The Rx Fund helps people pay for their prescriptions when they do not have health insurance or cannot afford their co-pays for prescriptions.
