State Legislative Candidate Forum on Seniors’ Issues – July 26 – please RSVP!

July 18, 2018

Dear friend,

Champaign County Health Care Consumers (CCHCC) is joining with the Illinois Alliance for Retired Americans and Caring Across Generations to sponsor a Legislative Candidate Forum focusing on issues affecting seniors in Champaign County.

The Forum will be held on Thursday, July 26 at 6 p.m. at the Urbana Civic Center.
Please read below for more information about the forum, and to RSVP.

Issues affecting seniors
Over the next 15 years, the number of Illinoisans 65 and older will increase by nearly 60%. As our state ages, and the power of the senior vote grows, candidates will increasingly be called upon to answer to the issues that matter to seniors:

• Pensions and economic security.
• Dignity and independence in long term care.
• Fully funded quality of life services and supports, and the ability to “age in place”.

Together, the voice of seniors will be heard in 2018!
Join us as we raise the issues that most concern seniors in Champaign County with candidates for the State Legislature, in a forum organized by seniors, for seniors.
