2. HEALTH ACTION NETWORK – TAKE ACTION TODAY!
Support fair pay and the Paycheck Fairness Act!
Today, women make, on average only, 78 cents for every dollar earned by men. The Paycheck Fairness Act would update and strengthen the Equal Pay Act, which was passed in 1963, by facilitating class action Equal Pay Act claims, prohibiting employer retaliation, closing a loophole in the employer defense, and make several other important changes. The bill was passed by the House of Representatives in January 2009 and is pending action in the Senate.
See a factsheet on the bill here: http://www.nwlc.org/pdf/Broad_Paycheck_Fairness_Fact_Sheet_November_2008.pdf
Visit the National Partnership for Women and Families’ website to take action today!

Thank you for taking action!
